 Soyuz-Apollo (or Apollo-Soyuz - ASTP).  This was in July 1975, I went to
 Florida and watched the launch.

 From the western point of view it was very interesting, it gave us the first
 glimpse of how the Soviet space program operated.

 Unfortunately it was short lived, the "cold war" was still very strong
 and the Apollo program was finished.

 At that time space station Salyut-4 was in operation (launched December 1974).
