Greetings all!

There are thousands of objects orbiting earth. Many of them have outlived their 
usefullness and I was wondering if anyone ever thought of attaching a solar 
sail to them to move them towards the sun (as in a parachute) or perhaps back 
to earth for burn up or maybe even away from earth.... Same thing with nuclear 
waste.  Many shuttle flights are launched with the shuttle nowhere near 
capacity, we could move some of the waste into orbit on each flight and then 
have one solar sail attached to that payload to get it out of here.
