Twice I've sent e-mails about his run for an open Republican seat in a staunchly Republican district. Many of you responded overwhelmingly. Mike is very grateful for what GOA-PVF as a group has done. It's not every day that people running for public office say thanks for the opportunity to serve. So, after getting this note from Mike today, I knew I wanted to pass it along to you. After all, you and other GOA-PVF supporters took the action that he is grateful for -- I just helped facilitate us all working together. Please, read Mike's whole note. FROM: Mike Rothfeld for Congress P.O. Box 5421 / Fredericksburg, VA 22403 --------- Larry, you guys are terrific. Thank you. Once again I want to thank you for all that you and the generous supporters of GOA-PVF had done to help me run a strong bid for the U.S. House of Representatives. I have great news to report to you. On all fronts, the campaign is ahead of schedule and doing better than expected. In fact, donations as of today should top $180,000. I'm working hard to raise the last part of our budget that will allow me to run a full program in the last two weeks of the campaign. Larry, you and GOA-PVF supporters have helped our campaign get to where we are today. I'm grateful for your support. My campaign now has the money to run a competitive program in this race against a millionaire and some lesser-known candidates. Of course, like any effective grassroots campaign, we will gladly accept any additional money that is send in and use it wisely. Whatever additional money comes in from now on, goes almost entirely towards maximizing our media buys and our critical get-out-the-vote programs. As you know, time is now short -- there are only 19 days left till the June 13th Republican Primary. I wish I could write a longer note listing all the things I have to thank you, your staff and GOA-PVF supporters for... But, time does not permit it. In fact, my campaign manager is standing over me telling me I've got to go. He's scheduled me to be at a series of events throughout the district today. So to finish up, please thank all the GOA-PVF supporters for me. I really appreciate the tremendous financial support they offered. Many apparently gave sacrificially.
