I know the feeling.  We are down to 4 BBSes in Boston, MA, USA.  Two of them 
are Macintosh and don't use FidoNET.  This BBS will be gone at the end of the 
month.  It is a shame that computing centers such as Houston and Fort Worth and 
Boston, are losing all their boards.  Fortunately, a smattering of BBSes 
survive on the network via Telnet, and folks are starting to write Web message 
boards.  It looks like it's "goodbye" to the telephone and "hello" to Telnet.
