It was basically Golden Axe deluxe-- and for its time, Golden Axe was a decent game. It even gave you choices about which part of the storyline you wanted to follow. Nice, but that meant you had about the same choice range as you did in a "choose your own adventure" book-- fight stuff down path A, or fight stuff down path B. Either way, the engine is designed to kill you in an average of 1.8 minutes, plus or minus whatever the operator set it for. But back to the original statement: Diablo I, as near as I could tell, had less thought in it than a choose your own adventure book. -- |Fidonet: mbottorff@sprintmail.com |Internet: scott@conchbbs.com | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. --- # Origin: (1:106/357.99) * Origin: ConchGate (1:106/357.0) .
