Classes come first. The conlang list I participate in actively is pretty much the only one I can afford to deal with right now. After I graduate perhaps I'll have slightly more time (though I hear grad school is worse). > Well I've not really gotten into the things a BBS can do so well. > I've been over here yelling it so much at these web faced dolts I run > into that nothing seem's to make a difference to them. I see what you're saying, but sometimes you don't need personal interaction, you just need information. For personal information I go to the gamer's club in person. The BBS experience was great when I was in Korea and had no access to the only gaming communities I knew of (HS seniors and the folks on the 8th Army base). It's still a good thing, but has gotten cut out due to lack of opportunity and other, higher priorities in my life. Thanks for speaking out, and thanks for the BBS listings! I'll hunt around for them sometime after I graduate. (And pray that people still have copies of SLMR around--gosh, how I *miss* that program! I liked it much better than any of my email clients.)
