Subj : RolePlaying on the web To : All From : krynhoth@druidic.net Date : Thu Oct 05 2000 04:31 pm From: Jason Tamez Subject: RolePlaying on the web I found something a bit cool today on the web. http://www.skotos.net/ From their theme: "Castle Marrach is a game of romance, chivalry, and political intrigue. It appeals specifically to those with an interest in the Middle Ages and early Renaissance, with elements of fantasy and magic. Castle Marrach encourages a role-playing intensive atmosphere. "Advancement in Castle Marrach depends on the acquisition of Favor and knowledge rather than on increasing skill levels, slaying monsters, or winning gold. By your deeds, words, actions, and interactions you shall be known to others. "Castle Marrach is inspired by a variety of literary traditions, from the legendary romances of Arthurian times to the 20th century swashbuckling films of Errol Flynn." It looks like fun. There's a giant castle to explore and people to meet. GMs of a sort can set up intrigue, mysteries and the like for players to play with. I've only been here for a few hours but I like it so far. Anyway, if any of you have web access and are bored, you might want to look. They're still in beta testing, but it's open to the public. -- Jason -- |Fidonet: krynhoth@druidic.net |Internet: scott@conchbbs.com | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. --- # Origin: (1:106/357.99) * Origin: ConchGate (1:106/357.0) .
