'Why don't you go on into the = gatehouse, and ask the first guard you see where you can find Regget, okay?= Run along now, there's a good midget.' She points to a large metal door, s= wung open, in the wall of one of the massive towers.=20 IF YOU ENTER THE GATEHOUSE: Through the door, you are greeted by a large, low-ceiling room. A set of st= airs goes up in the far corner, and the corner opposite you has a set of st= airs going down. Two doors lead into the wall itself, presumably to barrack= s or somesuch. A squadron of guards sits by the door, dicing and trading ta= les of people who come into the city. A guard with two bronze strips on eit= her shoulder sits at a desk nearby, flipping through files. Various other g= uardsmen, clerks, and messengers are scattered throughout the room, seated = at desks or tables. One of the clerks looks up at your entry, and asks you = what you want. IF YOU DON'T ENTER THE GATEHOUSE: This will be covered in Move 2. Please tell me whether you enter or not, an= d what you do in if you do enter (or, if you wish to do somethingelse as we= ll, let me know) Andrew -- |Fidonet: Andrew_S._Toth@wlm.toronto.on.ca |Internet: scott@conchbbs.com | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. --- # Origin: (1:106/357.99) * Origin: ConchGate (1:106/357.0) .
