OOC: First off, I'd like to introduce y'all to Brad McDermid. He's not actually on-echo, given the apparent non-response by the list-server, so I'll just be forwarding everything to and from him. He'll be taking over Garth's character, Heathryd. Say "hi" and play nice, children. Secondly, I'd like to point out that this is just meant as a "filler" Move. I hope for the sake of entertainment that you make conversation with each other. Otherwise, the good stuff hits next week. There will be some background information in here somewhere, though, so I suggest you read it. Just don't expect too much to respond to. The following applies to Reishala, Goemuss, Jasper, and Heathryd: You allow follow Rethel back down the ladder, and he tells you to meet him by the gate. He's going to go get supplies from the pantry, and then you'll be on your own. About ten minutes later, Rethel comes out of the house bearing enough food, you judge, for about three days. Terylin comes storming out after him, bearing bedrolls. Rethel's face is red with anger, and Terylin is yelling at him. Rethel gets to the gate, and drops the food. Then he turns to await Terylin, who trudges forward with the bedrolls, eventually dropping them beside the food. His face is still red, and Rethel has been taking deep breaths to calm down. Rethel looks over at the rolls, of which there are six. ''You can take one of those back, Tery. You're not coming.'' Terylin spits beside him, ''and why not, eh? You said yourself you might need another strong arm. You asked Jerome to come along, why didn't you ask me?'' Rethel snaps. ''I didn't ask you because you've been after my sister to marry you for two years now, and when she finally says yes, you're eager to turn around and head off to get killed,'' he yells. ''You're going to stay here, marry my sister, and bloody-well love her! It isn't easy to make Chalta happy, but you seem to have done it. If you die, it'll kill her. And neither of us wants that. Now get back in the house.'' Terylin's face slowly returns to its normal colour, and he looks at Rethel, sadness in his eyes. ''You know how hard it was to get through to her...to make her trust me. After...after the incident with Yole, it set us back and it was almost impossible. I couldn't have done it without you Rethel. You know that. And you also know that if you die, it'll break her just as much as if I do.'' He grips Rethel's arm in farewell, then goes back into the house. Rethel turns back to you, straightens his coat, and hands each of you a bedroll and food. ''Now, if I remember rightly, we were headed east, were we not?'' The journey is uneventful. By the end of the day, you've arrived just outside a city. Passagar, according to Rethel. About a kilometer out of Passagar, you passed by a pair of mansions across the road from each other. One looked abandoned and seemed to be falling apart, while the other was healthily upkept, with a high wall around it. Almost like a small castle. You'd even sighted a wagon heading up the road to the gates of the mansion. Rethel decides that its probably best to make camp outside the city with other travelers, rather than pay the fee for an inn. His final reason is ''I also don't think it would be too good of an idea to sleep in the barracks, given the non-soldier women. No offense, ladies.''
