Subj : RE: Shazrad]corrections To : All From : liyet@bigfoot.com Date : Mon Jul 31 2000 10:35 pm From: "Yune Kyung Lee" Subject: RE: Shazrad]corrections I was never trying to apply that those who couldn't--or wouldn't (?!)--subscribe to the list were of a "lesser class". My reasons for such an injunction *were*, in fact, technical. Help me out here, Scott--how would I manage this? I honestly juggled the idea around in my head, but remember what few computer skills I might possess aren't equal to the task. I can set up a forwarding address that will be a subscriber to the Shazrad mailing list, and will automatically forward all posts to the echo. No problem. But the other way around...? Let's say I do set up a forwarding address that's subscribed to the AD&D list, and will filter messages only with subjects headed with "Shazrad]" on to the Shazrad email list. That means that anything sent to the email list will be sent to the echo will be sent to the email list and so on in a nasty loop. Am I overlooking something? If so, then please let me know. I'm not sure what control of the *website* has to do with this; I might be able to cajole the owner to set up something, if only I knew what. I hope you see that this was a decision based on giving the maximum number of people access to the game, even if it was a one-way access, rather than trying to keep people out. --Yune -- |Fidonet: liyet@bigfoot.com |Internet: scott@conchbbs.com | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. --- # Origin: (1:106/357.99) * Origin: ConchGate (1:106/357.0) .
