Okie: Echo Game Application Form for AD&D and Related Systems, adapted from a form created by Dr Pepper. History: 7-21-97 - First draft. 3-31-98 - Edited for clarity. This form can be sent into the AD&D FIDO conference, or else mailed to either jasontamez@hotmail.com or _The_Druid_@excite.com. [Campaign Identification] 1. SHORT NAME: an abbreviation to be used as a subject line prefix to identify posts in your game. Max 8 letters + ], all caps. (ex: GAME], VAMPIRES], U2], etc.) This is optional, but *HIGHLY* recommended. 2. CAMPAIGN NAME: Title of your game. Do not use the name of a published setting or sourcebook, please. [GM Info] [Private Information] 3. GM NAME: Your real name. 4. GM AKA: If you have a different handle for posting game moves, or for any kind of posting, enter it here. 5. GM ADDRESS: Your old-fashioned postal mailing address. [EMAIL INFO] 6. BBS INFO: List the primary BBS you get the AD&D echo from. Please give the BBS name, geographical location (city, state/province, country), telephone number(s), and NetMail address. 7. NETMAIL ADDRESS: List netmail addresses other than the bbses above that you have. Also list any e-mail addresses you may have. Mark any address with a * if you do not want it publicised. [General Info] 8. RULE SYSTEM: Is this based on D&D, AD&D-1st ed or AD&D-2nd ed? A combination of any of them? 9. RULE EXTRAS: Are there many gm modifications? Few or none? More than there are trees on earth to make paper to print then on? Don't try to list them, just give an answer like "Few", "Small List", "Several Files", etc. 10. RULE ADD-ONS: Specify such things as handbooks allowed or not, psionics, Dragon Mag articles, Skills and Powers, etc. 11. SETTING: This is simply the world or background that the game takes place in. If it's one of the TSR specialty worlds, like Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms, that's what would be listed. If it is the gm's own world, but it is a world where what you would run into is more or less just what you would expect from the main rulebooks, then the setting would be Standard. If none of the above truly apply, then give the world's name with a small synopsis of why it isn't a Standard world. 12. INFO FILE: Name of FREQable or downloadable file containing background and house rules. If a file is intended but not yet available, precede the name with "NA:". File names should be unique, so they can be made available on multiple bbses. 13. MOVE FILE: File containing back moves. Same standards as the above info file apply to this file. 14. OPENINGS: How many player-openings are currently available? 15. WAITLIST: How many openings do you have on your waiting list? 16. LEVEL: Level range for player characters. 17. APP INFO: What should people send you when they apply for a position in your campaign? Do you want a detailed 2+ page background history? A standardized list of rolled statistics? The Tarot card that most embodies the player's character? Etc... 18. MISC INFO Anything else you think we should know, including information expanding on previous entries. 19. OVERVIEW: This is where you tell your story. Give us a teaser, some historical background, or whatever else you think will attract players. It would be good to update this periodically with a summary of recent moves and resend this to me, since I will periodically post this one section to the echo. Important: take your time with this, paying attention to grammar, spelling, and clarity. That copy's a bit old, as I've only updated the webbed form. I should put that on my to-do list. -- Jason Tamez _______________________________________________________ Say Bye to Slow Internet! http://www.home.com/xinbox/signup.html -- |Fidonet: _The_Druid_@excite.com |Internet: scott@conchbbs.com | | Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. --- # Origin: (1:106/357.99) * Origin: ConchGate (1:106/357.0) .
