Organization: W. L. Mackenzie C. I. Harold, I thank your opinion, for a number of reasons. Firstly because I always value the advice and sharing of past incidences by those who, quite blatantly, have more experience than I do. Secondly because what you said did make me run over my plannig and make a few changes. I would like to point out at this time, to both yourself and any who would wish to play, that this is not meant as a "strip the character" approach...not the majority at any rate. All possessions would be easily re-attainable; as soon as they got out of the cell block, the room containing confiscated items is RIGHT THERE. Now that I've given that part away to assuage that "strip the character" possibility, you'll simply have to trust that I know what I'm doing, and know how to make things interesting. I've done it before; I received a number of e-mails regarding my last (and first PBEM, I should point out) campaign as to how some people were really enjoying how the story played out, eagerly anticipating the next Move, and quite disappointed that it ended. And of course, when it did end, Sigils of Erasure had barely progressed beyond the farm on which the characters started. And there were segments that were not made public, such as Karen Wilson's character, an Ewok, who was captured and brought to live in a gladiatorial Pit. Clay Campbell's character, a Human/??? Ranger, whose chosen enemies were the Drow, who encountered and accompanied a Drow Priestess, and received a small amount of hinting that his other half was Drow, but unreleased. Tacky-sounding perhaps, but I made it interesting, and I believe that Clay can attest to that if you so wish. So, once again, I thank you for your input. I hope my response has put to rest any problems you had seen with my initial campaign set-up. I also hope that the response has removed any doubts about the way events would happen from the minds of any who might have wished to play, and hopefully they still wish to play.
