True.  OTOH, if the games are the *only* discourse that's going on, 
that's great for the gameplayers but not so good for people who aren't 
interested in those games.  I'll try to start up a discussion or two; 
there are a couple of topics going around on Wolfrunners (discussion list 
for female sf/f writers and artists, though judging from reactions to the 
one guy on the list, nobody cares whether you're a guy or a girl) that 
are somewhat relevant to rpg worldbuilding.
