Subj : i don't get it To : All From : Patrick Basister Date : Tue Aug 08 2000 04:03 pm Greetings! I've gone through the POP manuals and whatever documentation I have here, but I might just be too dense to understand a few points. Anyway, I'll tell you my 'problem' and maybe someone could provide a solution in layman's terms. ;) I run PoP and send mail to other nodes as well (thus have them set up in the "Nodes Setup" option)... I have a default modem init string which goes well for all BUT ONE node. From experimenting, I found out that this one node (running FD) does not accept the handshake of PoP ("other end is sleeping..") and the only way I can poll that node, or it poll me properly, is to have the &N14 string enabled. But with that &N14 enabled, another node (this one running PoP) canNOT poll me (and I can't poll him). So... how can I set the &N14 string to be used when polling (or being polled by) only this other node, but leave the other nodes to use the default init string?
