Oh, yes, i remember .. ;) MK>> It's not easy to realize but at least the best. MR> You have made this. Can you post your qnode modem type settings and the MR> according settings in Portal (modem types ...). Ou, i will try: Hardware: I have an ISDN modem which is directly connected to the first com port (no internal ISDN card = no CAPI). This ISDN modem have three analoge ports, one for the 28800 modem and two for the phones. Software: DR Dos with multitasking, two Portal tasks, QNode v1.5 for DOS. === qnode.cfg === Maxbaud 0|128 V22 1200|1 V22B 2400|1 V32 9600|1 HST 9600|1 V32B 14400|2 // // H14 14400|2 ZYX 16800|4 Z19 16800|4 H16 16800|4 V32T 16800|8 // // V34 28800|8 VFC 28800|8 V110 300|32 ISDN 300|64 X75 300|64 The above is ONE line in qnode.cfg. For explanation i split it: // 0|128 // set default modem type 128 // V22 1200|1 V22B 2400|1 V32 9600|1 HST 9600|1 // set modem type 1, // V32B 14400|2 H14 14400|2 // type 2, // ZYX 16800|4 Z19 16800|4 H16 16800|4 V32T 16800|4 // type 4 and // V34 28800|8 VFC 28800|8 // type 8 for analoge lines, // V110 300|32 // type 32 and // ISDN 300|64 X75 300|64 type 64 for digital (Isdn) lines Type 16 is unused. Now i have MY OWN definitions of the modem types: type 1 and 2 for my 14400 modem (without V42B, does not exist any more) type 4 and 8 for my 28800 modem type 32 and 64 for my Isdn modem and type 128 for non-dialable systems The next two pictures are from my administration task #8 of Portal. The first is a setting for all tasks, the second is different in each task! Portal Of Power v0.70-GPTp3 Task #8 +============================= Nodelist compiler ============================= : | Modem type #1 : <=9.6 | Modem type #2 : 14.4 | Modem type #3 : 16.8 | Modem type #4 : 28.8 | Modem type #5 : | Modem type #6 : V110 | Modem type #7 : X75 | Modem type #8 : NOP : This defines the strings shown by Portal for each modem type (1,2,4,8,..) Portal Of Power v0.70-GPTp3 Task #8 +=========================== Advanced modem options ========================== : | Type Dial string Baud rate Call | <=9.6 0 N | 14.4 0 N | 16.8 0 N | 28.8 0 N | 0 N | V110 0 N | X75 0 N | NOP AT| 0 N : This is the administration task #8 which is not allowed to dial. In the analog task #2 the first four settings have a 'Y' in the 'call' column, in the digital task #1 the sixth and seventh entry have a 'Y' in the 'call' column. What's happened on dialing? If a system have no Vnn AND no V1nn/Xnn flag the dial string will be replaced with 'AT|' => no dial, only an OK from the modem. If a system have a V1nn/Xnn flag the digital task #1 can dial, the analoge task #2 not (manually dials are possible cause an outbound packet exists). If a system have a Vnn flag the task #2 can dial, task #1 not. Uff, now i have a smoke cloud above my head. ;) Is it possible to understand? |X| | |icha --- FMailX 1.22 * Origin: * Astronik * CM MO V34 X75 * noCS * (2:2468/9963) .
