Hi All:

A couple of recent observations...

Portal /v still crashes, but the inability of Portal to compile the nodelist 
while running in a DESQview window seems to have reversed itself recently; 
perhaps due to the ever-shrinking nodelist?

Also, a spot of inattention on my part in the DESQview script that autoruns 
Portal and locks the keyboard resulted in Portal waiting for a confirmation of 
the password that never came. It waited... and while it waited, no incoming 
calls were answered, and no events were run. I've fixed the script, but is it 
possible to persuade Portal to give up waiting for a confirmation either after 
a fixed period or when something else happens that it really ought to give its 
attention to?
