Subj : PoP under Windows 95 To : Raymond Rosch From : Tim Parsons Date : Thu Apr 05 2001 09:31 pm Hi Raymond! On Apr 03, Raymond Rosch happened to mention PoP under Windows 95 to All: RR> I'm thinking of going to windows so I can use longfilenames and RR> also so I can network my 2 computers together. RR> What pitfalls should I look out for with PoP? It only works well if it's the foreground application. I tried the same route; after much frustration, I wound up moving Portal to a DOS/DESQview machine networked to the Win95 box. (The networking is good enough for printing to the printer on the Win box - essential if BGFax is to do its job when PoP calls it - but crashes DV if I try to move files around [but that's a DESQview issue and would probably be resolvable if I weren't using MS networking.]) Bests, Tim --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k * Origin: Points and feeds available at Oblivion (2:25/108) .
