Subj : Interpretations To : KEVIN GIBSON From : RICHARD M. MEIC Date : Sat Jul 21 2001 08:07 am -> > Any given program, once running, is obsolete. -> -> KG> Why would a program be obsolete the moment it begins to function? -> -> RM> Maybe because perfection in an imperfect universe is not possible? -> -> There may not be a requirement for perfection. Even if there was a requirement, how would we know it? -> That's a relative term, anyway. :-) I agree. -> This might be a perfect universe. Perhaps perfect in it's imperfections. It's imperfections may be so perfect that the universe still works. That would be some feat for Microsoft. -> FM> We will, I hope, continue to repudiate those ideologues so intent -> FM> upon hauling the salvation and perfection suitable only to the -> FM> experienced beyond into THIS world of imperfect man living in the -> FM> tension between the human and the divine and realizing that to be his -> FM> home. -> -> How would you interpret that? I translate that into "I hope we continue to refuse to accept the supporters of divine perfection". But the above is a, really busy sentence spoken in the language of an immortal so I am sure I am wrong. -> What are the implications? The sentence itself? Sorry, I have to admit that I am at a loss as to the intent. -> I'll have those posts from the archives soon.
