  Communicating about the topics that have been raised can be extremely
  difficult.  Misunderstanding is far too easy to do.  Frank doesn't
  talk with me.  That's his choice.  I think it has something to do
  with passwords and secret handshakes.  John, posting under an alias,
  recently left another echo, when I revealed his masquerade.  He was
  obviously upset.  But it wasn't my intention to upset him.  It was,
  however, the second time he left the echo in six months.  I don't
  know what to make of all of this except to say that some people,
  including you, appear to have very thin skins.  You've not given
  this discussion much of a chance to get off the ground.  I understand
  your objections to Frank's penchant for constantly referencing ancient
  and often obscure philosophers.  He also has an unnerving habit of
  name-dropping, in my opinion.  But that's his chosen style of writing.
  And it may be that if you want to communicate with him, you'll have to
  accept it.  He doesn't appear to be the least bit inclined to change
  because you or I want him to.  Try a little more patience, Richard.
  (But not mine.<g>)

  So, how are things with you?  What's new?  Have any of your robots
  become self-aware yet? :-)  Did you ever see "Bicentennial Man"
  starring Robin Williams?  What about Spielberg's new movie "A.I.?"
