(We don't view contradictions as being something leading to "error" - "what this one says, and what that one says, both are the words of the Living G-d".) Also, on top of that, Judaism does not focus on the afterlife very much; though it certainly teaches that there is reward and punishment. > TH> that would include every Christian, would it not? > > The righteous of the gentiles, who obey the 7 mitzvos of Bnai Noach, > have a portion in the World to Come. Todd, that's requirements for *Jews*. Jews always have tougher requirements concerning mitzvos than non-Jews; who are only obligated, as I'm sure you've heard before, to the 7 [catagories of] Mitzvos of Bnai Noach; and even then in a less strict form than Jews. (According to all authorities, for example, Islam is not idolatrous; it is permitted for a gentile, while a Jew who becomes a Muslim, cholila, is an apostate.) Keep in mind also that many gedolim say today that this generation of Jews, especially those raised in an assimilated environment, are like tinuk benishbim. JBL .... What is mind? No matter!
