Ah, yes.  My paperback copy of Will Durant's "The Story of Philosophy" has been 
sitting on my desk for nearly twenty years.  A very wonderful little book. :)  
It's sitting there right beside Lavine's "From Socrates to Sartre: the 
Philosophic Quest", also a wonderful book.
