I hope that JW> brfore I die I will learn to reify... The trick is not to learn TO reify but to RESIST what appears to be a kind of natural tendency of the libido dominandi to reify. I often state the problem like this. There are three kinds of truth, MY truth, YOUR truth and THE truth. Actually, this refers to reality. Reification would be mistaking MY truth or YOUR truth for THE truth. In dialogue we cannot escape a logos of truth as our vision but we must maintain openness toward THE truth which is the reality that cannot be known to humans qua human simply because it does not lie finished and observable before us. That's what it means to be ONLY a participant in the shaft we're on and not its engineer. Frank --- PPoint 2.07 * Origin: Maybe in 5000 years (1:396/45.12) .
