Actually, for a non-Jew, one only has to obey the seven catagories
of mitzvos of Bnai Noach.

As for obeying laws reducing free will; that's the paradoxical goal
of free will, to choose right, even though by choosing right; which
develops good habits, one *decreases* free will. Free will is a means,
not an end.
