CR> JV> Untrue accusation about hate. CR> CR> I've seen your vulgar, obscene posts in the "Mad Dog Matzdobre" and CR> "Holy Smoke" echoes, and I think "resident FIDO hatemongers" is an CR> applicable description. Your posts to Matzdobre are the most filthy, CR> the most disgusting that I've seen. I wish I had not seen them. CR> Every time I see your name in this forum, your coarse, horrible, CR> repulsive posts come to mind. They will forever taint any thoughts CR> that I might have concerning your claims in this or any forum. CR> You _are_ a resident FIDO hatemonger! 1) You're trying to provoke him into doing the same here, aren't you? Really, aren't you? 2) FIDO has some specifically designated "flame" or "no holds-barred"-type echoes. They're certainly not to everybody's taste, and most are not to mine (if only because most lack wit). If you don't want to read them, don't read them, just as if you don't like loud and rude music, don't go to thrash metal concerts. Boxers usually don't hate each other, and I think you are probably making the same here as thinking that boxers necessarily hate each other, or that many WASP types make in encountering a Mediterranean-style family argument. Real hate is often much politer *on the surface* than venting or a screaming argument, but it's much more dangerous. Just as there's many different types of opponent sports, ranging from chess to fencing and boxing, so there's many types of posting styles and echoes. What's appropriate for one is not appropriate for the other, and vice versa. If you saw someone doing kick boxing, would that "forever taint" him in your mind as a chess player? Would you immediately dismiss the possibility of that person also being a loving parent and spouse? 3) IMHO, there is an intelligible reason for the type of Joseph's posts in MAD DOG MATZDOBRE. "Charles Hunter" has been claiming for a long time that no one has any legal right to post anything which he, Charles Hunter, considers blasphemous, and indeed has a long history of attempting to intimidate people with the threat of legal suits over this. Joseph has even told CH that the entire reason for the series of the posts that you find so offensive is to, in effect, call his bluff. I certainly know which of the two is more offensive to me, and I know that many thinking Christians would consider CH's behavior much more of a blasphemy to the Christian spirit than Joseph's posts--and more dangerous to Christianity. 4) Joseph has been temperate in this echo (so far, anyway), and that really is what matters most in this echo. 5) To my knowledge, Joseph hasn't wished that CH castrate himself. I suppose we still have to go to the saints for that type of language. --- Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 [NR] * Origin: America's favorite whine - it's your fault! (1:261/1000) .
