	Nor I.  Nor would atheism, or Wicca, or Baha'i, or etc., if 
they became dominant, necessarily shuttle "into the backwater of human 
education" any scholar's opinion or findings in a non-religious field 
because of their personal religious beliefs.  Nor would they want "close 
off ANY area of experience as `off-limits.'"  
	IMHO, you are erecting a paranoid strawman.  And before you
cite "Soviet Union," I would remind you that mighty few atheists these
days are Stalinists.
