 My place is under renovation and my books are not available but:

 I *think* it's in the notes in either, The Jerusalem Bible, The American
 Bible (Catholic), possibly in The Scofield Bible,....

 The manuscripts I was refering to were the ancient New Yestiment
 manuscrips and shards of
 manuscripts many (most) with at least some varient readings (e.g., the three
 endings of Matthew's Gospel, cannonical varients).......616 was I
 distinctly remember
 memtioned in more than one reference book, I've read...Hope this
