I am seriously thinking about using vim for everything but for now am sticking to what is working Fido-ally speaking - as far as it concerns me personally - and msged has been good to me. That I know absolutely nothing about other then I have run across quite a few messages in Fido created with CrashMail. Again, it appears to be overkill wrt my personal use. I'll see but at the moment I am leaning towards the XML-RPC ideology as that might solve a whole mess of "portability" issues at Kumalockasun and, hopefully, liberate me so that I can do what I've wanted to do all along. At this point in time that seems to be the best idea all around and hence my interest in using Perl as the basis of the XML-RPC server on the Fido "hub" machine which theoretically speaking should liberate everyone concerned in such a critter existing here, even beyond Fido if we do this "right", whatever that really means.
