the llama book is a good way to learn perl...the blue one is the camel book, 
and it's more detailed (you can learn perl from it if you can program already)

the nutshell book contains more information, and is more organized than what's 
available in both books. of all the perl books i own, the nutshell one is the 
one i use the most...
