I don't know enough about perl to write a simple program to do that.  I've had 
past experience with writing t-shell and c-shell scripts, but that was a 
l-o-n-g time ago and I had some manuals with examples to work with.

Well..  according to my last response from "them", it appears that I've lost 
the contact I had with a HUMAN.  :(((
