BB> That sounds like you are over the summit of the learning curve Russ, BB> well done! I don't know that I'm as far along the curve as Russ, but I'm certainly getting along it... I needed to get my normal mailer for this node (1:120/544) set back up again, after I lost the boot drive in the old system. As you know, there are rather a large number of WWB echos & I really wasn't too enthusiastic about creating the hpt config file (part of the husky project) for the WWB echos by hand but I needed to get them set up asap... But I remembered that I already had a subroutine in a script I'd written that could read in something like a backbone.ww file, & that printing to a file in Perl is pretty easy... So, in 15-20 minutes I had the base config file ready to go; it still needed some tweaking, like some node connections added, but otherwise it was ready for use. Now, for just a few echos I wouldn't have done something like that (Nor needed to...); I would have just copied them in to the config file & edited as neccessary. But for 417 echos, including their descriptions; well, this is why I decided to learn Perl, being able to do such things... Jame --- Msged/LNX 6.1.1 * Origin: bazaar.rocasa.org (1:120/544) .
