you won't like perl if you're a python programmer. way too much freedom 
compared to what you're used to :)

did you get the python class i posted a while ago? let's you create maximus 
style logs for your python programs. but of course you could modify it to 
create different type logs if you were inclined.

i also have the perl and tcl version. working on ruby, and rebol, and some 
compiled language versions.
