Rumblefish is my machine at work, not the machine at home that I receive my own

When do we decide that breaking standards for inane people is too much? 

If I write a program that has to have the letter 'A' pushed to successfully 
complete, do I also have to write it in such a way that it will successfully 
complete the same task for any other key?
