Subj : database access using Perl To : All From : Jame Clay Date : Sat Jul 07 2001 08:11 am Hi All! Thought I'd post a couple of example scripts of using Perl to access databases; they're from something I've been working on, to load the contents of a nodelist file into a (mysql) database table... It seems to be mostly working, doing an import of both a fidonet and an STN (Sysop's TechNet) nodelist with no errors except for those two I mentioned in my previous post (subj: "chunk errors?"), so I figured I'd post in here about it & use a couple of scripts from it as examples... A snapshot of what I'm currently useing and/or testing for this, is available at http://rocasa.org/pub/ftn/pl/nl2sqlv1.zip. I'm going to have two versions of this; version 1.x is one that uses standard Perl, while version 2.x will be useing FTN Perl modules; I wanted to get something working as standalone, before I tackled figureing out how to do Perl Modules...
