Subj : [ANNOUNCE] XML::Records 0.01 To : All From : Eric Bohlman Date : Wed Feb 07 2001 02:59 pm From: ebohlman@omsdev.com (Eric Bohlman) XML::Records, which has been uploaded to CPAN, provides a simple interface for reading "record-structured" XML documents, that is, documents that consist of a collection of "record" elements containing "field" elements or attributes. Records are returned as Perl hashes. XML::Records provides similar functionality to Robert Hanson's XML::RAX, but the interface is more Perlish and it can handle "sub-records" and repeated fields. The hashes returned are similar to those returned by Grant McLean's XML::Simple, but it is not necessary to read the entire document into memory. XML::Records also provides an option to return data as ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1) rather than UTF8. --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-2 * Origin: Prism bbs (1:2320/38) .
