Probably doesn't need to be as I suspect that there is something Linuxie that can handle it already. I'll be happy to check it out if there is a real need. However, chances are that something different is needed to take care of gating wrt ISPs who have altered their methodology. On another note; I haven't read the documentation, probably will soon, about Python on Windows but was wondering if any port from a Linux system would require special treatment of some sort? Mostly I am curious if it is Perl-like as far as scripts being compatible across platforms and what edits, if any, would be applicable to any network capabilities. I just thought you might happen to know already but no sweat if you don't. Like I said, I'll eventually get to that part of the docs once I resolve the particular situation here, and am only trying to get some input about Python portability seeing as you are the only person in Fido who has brought the subject up to me. Yes I know, it was awile ago but in my defense there have been bigger fish to fry first. :-) End transmission, Maurice --- Msged/LNX TE 06 (pre) * Origin: Pointy Stick Society III - The Wrath of Console ...
