well, if you run windows, and don't have the precompiled you'd have to
compile it yourself...not that many people are familiar with compiling
under windows...

and of course, if you run dos, you'd be hard pressed to get the dbi module
compiled at all...

perl may be 'cross platform' but that usually means unix, windows, and mac.


tcl/tk and python are in the same boat. dos has been pretty much left
behind. beos is only half supported.

rebol isn't doing to bad though...
