Subj : don't cry for me I have vi To : tony summerfelt From : Maurice Kinal Date : Sat Apr 02 2005 10:10 am Hey Tony! ts> except vim isn't a very good idea for code browsing or debugging... ts> in which case i use either perlide or komodo personal... That I know little about since my DOS daze ... errrr ... days. I haven't used an ide since then. Going way back to VAX/VMS I never programmed at all on there so an ide would be a total waste. I used to shell script if I recall correctly. On Solaris it was vi and makefiles from hell, no ide. Debugging etc. was done from the shell. I really don't have a use for an ide when I think about it. I suppose if I did more OO-type programming I'd need something that "understood" those things. Beats me. Perhaps I am too oldfashioned. - Maurice --- Hacked v0.1b * Origin: Coffin Point (1:261/38.9) .
