Then you either had a lot better luck than I did or your application was a lot 
closer to what they had written it for.

I SUPPOSE I could use the full julian dates, then just subtract a full julian 
for 1/1/this_year. That might work. I'll make a note of that. I'm on my way out 
the door to school right now but I can look into that when I get home. Thanks 
for spurring my mind :>
