Subj : Pentium II patch for pascal To : Ryan de Laplante From : Gino Lucrezi Date : Tue Oct 07 2003 02:46 am On 04 Oct 2003, Ryan de Laplante wrote to All: RdL> The trouble I'm having is that one of my doors (EZ-ROM) RdL> gives me the Runtime error 200 but the patch program won't work on RdL> it. The patch says that the executable is probably compressed. Another possibility is that it is written in a version of Turbo Pascal which your patch won't recognize. If you put that same exe on a Pentium 166 it runs fine. Try to look for strings inside the exe. If you find this one, for example, the program has been compressed with PKLITE PKLITE Copr. 1990-91 PKWARE Inc. All Rights Reserved If it is, you can decompress it with pklite -x (it doesn't always work, however) Anyway, if you can read a Borland copyright notice in the EXE, it's almost certainly NOT compressed.
