Subj : Pentium II patch for pascal To : All From : Ryan de Laplante Date : Sat Oct 04 2003 09:26 pm Hi, I operate a BBS and found that a handful of my door games were giving me Runtime error 200. I did some reading on the net and found out that pascal has some kind of timing bug that affects all programs written with it. Luckily there were patches available to patch EXE's. There were a couple different ones and I used the pent2.exe version. It worked great. The trouble I'm having is that one of my doors (EZ-ROM) gives me the Runtime error 200 but the patch program won't work on it. The patch says that the executable is probably compressed. Does anyone know how to uncompress the executable so that I can apply the patch? -- No it's not compressed inside a zip/rar/aj file. If you put that same exe on a Pentium 166 it runs fine.
