 Hi All.

don't use that diff program it's not fussy enough about matches -
it may get confused by (blank)comment lines in the nodelist and prooduce
highly non-optimal diffs.

I'm working on a redesign that's easier to understand and has no line
length limit.

After I get it running and fix the above misfeature I'll work to speed it
up a bit.
