It's been a while, but I've used them in the past. I also worked with 8" hard disks that had a transparent (perspex?) cover. Head crashes on those things were something to see. Thinking back to my school computer room days, mostly we had 5.25" double-density disks, either single or double- sided. It was a big deal when we got a Winchester disk to serve the network. :-) I've had a few that were 'flippies': with a write protect notch on either side and two index holes. You could format one side as a single-sided double-density disk, and then flip the disk over and format the other side too: handy if you had a single-head drive. I saw the same concept on some 3" Amstrad diskettes too. - Andy. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4 # Origin: FamilyNet Sponsored by http://www.christian-wellness.net (8:8/2) * Origin: BBS Networks @ www.bbsnets.com 808-839-5016 (1:10/345) .
