Subj : SWAG code file: bpxref.pas problem To : Jasen Betts From : Donald Tidmore Date : Sat May 03 2003 03:33 am > Hi Donald. > 28-Apr-03 16:45:54, Donald Tidmore wrote to All >> Pascal Cross Reference Lister", to compile, but it won't accept an Fsplit >> statement in the ScanUnits procedure. I tried doing that. Even tried changing the Selpath reference from CONST to VAR. Program continues to not compile. In case it makes a difference, I'm using Borland Pascal v7.01, and BPX.EXE. At any rate, since the idiotic - to me - bpxref program's FSplit line won't behave, I'm wondering if any of you have a working program similar to it. One that I can use to go through a directory that has a few hundred .pas files that I got from a friend last year. I'm curious as to whether I can get any of them recompiled - getting rid of the RTE200 gremlin -- but wanted some program that could scan through all of them and pick out which files were PROGRAM files, and which were UNIT files. On side note, is there any online sources available that are for beginners that show how to learn Windows programming basics using Borland Pascal or Virtual Pascal? Or would I be better off buying a Windows programming book from a local college used book store and studying that? I'd like to learn at least the basics of writing Windows-based programs sometime this year, but am not sure how to best start the process. Sean and Jason, thanks for the assistance.
