i'd recommend mark may's oop package... i've used it since it was first 
released to the public and even incorporated my mods and fixes into the bbs 
code he released... the code is meant to be "blackboxed" and is great to use... 
i actually seem to have learned some oop from working with it but not enough to 
create my own message base objects (yet)...

i've mark's original stuff available and can also make my "flavor" available so 
you don't have to backtrack and fix things that are already fixed or 
enhanced...

  ie: one bug skips every other control line
      one "fix" adds seconds to the timestamp on message create
      one mod adds access to additional "settings"
