Subj : Acquiring Turbo Pascal 7.0 To : All From : Donald Tidmore Date : Tue Jun 25 2002 09:00 pm I learned Pascal around 1986 using an Apple II computer, as part of an overall 2-year CIS major at an Junior College. After that, I never was taught Pascal again at school. I have recently started learning Pascal again, and would like to acquire a full package of Turbo Pascal v7.00 for DOS that includes distribution disks, and manuals. But I don't wish to pay full price to Borland/Imprise for something that they don't support any longer. And when they (Borland) refuse to permanently fix the RTE200 - Divide by Zero issue - by releasing updates of the TP7/BP7 programs to all registered users, I believe that qualifies as lack of support. At any rate, would appreciate pointers to software firms online that sell such programs at discount price. I used to know of a company called Surplus Software, but lost track of how to find them again. And recommendations on the best Pascal reference books for relearning the language on your own, outside of a college classroom. Those would be appreciated also. Thanks, Donald Tidmore. http://www.lordlegacy.org/camelot/ --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-4 * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) .
