Subj : Connecting using PAP To : David Calafrancesco From : Eric Van Hyfte Date : Mon Sep 25 2000 10:42 am Salut David, Samedi Septembre 23 2000 12:22, David Calafrancesco ‚crivait … Eric Van Hyfte : EVH>> How can i do for connecting to one ISP using PAP and forcing the DC> I am confused as to what the problem is? I personally use InJoy to DC> connect to my ISP. It takes care of selecting which ISP I will connect DC> to and allows me to have multiple ISPs as necessary. I use ILINK/2 which allow me too to select one ISP in many. The problem is not the dialer (ilink, injoy, ...) but the connexion script. I've seen in the online help that i can use "+pap" in the connexion script instead of something like: \r ogin: [LOGINID] word: [PASSWORD] So i use this method for i of my ISPs and it works. But now i've a new ISP with windows only tools to connect. So i've tryed to use a script like the previous one. It only partially works since after sending the loginid, my connection windows display: "bad PAP password". So i've added a new line in my PAP.SCT file with the good name and password. But i've allways the same message "bad PAP password". I've tryed using only "+pap" in my script but in this case, i'm not connecting at all: the remote server stay doing/saying nothing. So i've searching in the online doc one more time and i've found that there seem to have another possible command usable in script which is: "user _username_", but there's no sample in the doc and i've'nt found a way for using this command in my connection script. So the question is: is there someone who can give me an example for using this command or have any suggestion to make a script allowing me to connect to my new ISP. Amicalement Eric ....
