The single port flat out requires a HUB/SWITCH to be used properly. ETHERNET is 
designed to talk from HUB to HUB as you can only have two systems connected 
without a HUB of some sort.

That should be hilarious. Insist on doing your own install as they are going to 
insist on using Win98 or maybe Win2000 and if you don't run that then CompUSA 
is going to have a cow and tell you to go home.

Not sure which version does it, but I have been told there is a version that 
does exactly what you need. It is called InJoy Firewall so I think the Firewall 
part is assured.
