We're the phone company." Considering that it was only this past June 29th that SaskTel came under the auspices (and control) of the CRTC, you don't know how true this comment is. I recall when they had the audacity to tell Radio Shack that they were not allowed to supply their catalogs to any Saskatchewn resident, as it included telephones for sale, and Saskatchewan residents were NOT allowed to own their own phones. Radio Shack countered by putting small print on the telephone pages "not available in Saskatchewan". > > From the number of complaints I've seen about @Home, cable is *worse*. I've been connected to Shaw's service here for a few years now, first their WAVE service, then @home, and finally the new thing they're doing with excite.ca. Other than some outages, usually due to a cable cut, I've had no serious problems. But than I don't use any of their offerings except a connection to the internet (well, I do use their dns as a secondary). I have my own server (nwstar.com) that's not on a Shaw system, plus my own smtp server in my local firewall --- GEcho/32 & IM 2.50 * Origin: Further North - USR 33.6 x2 (306) 956-3383 (1:140/12) .
