Subj : OS/2 WARP4 FIXPAKS ARE STILL AVAILABLE! To : Bob Seaborn From : Mike Luther Date : Sat Jun 07 2003 06:48 am And Bob .. BS> Only up to and including FP15, not sure if there's BS> more that _should_ be available. we should also note that both FP15 and DDFP2 are both available from HOBBS as complete packaged .ZIP files. All you have to do with either of these is to UNZIP them into a directory, and use the INSTALL.CMD that is furnished with each. Both were just updated last week to the latest and greates CP 1.44 to help with other fixes that might be available and need this. The actual files from download I got on the day they were refreshed at HOBBS are shown here; 5-29-03 5:15p 2776072 0 ddfp2.zip 5-29-03 5:20p 25779472 0 fp15.zip Fix Packs are cumulative, I guess if you count the split away for the Device Drivers along about FP 10 or 12, I fergit. But anyway, with the Device Driver #2 pack which is the above, that's not important. Thus really, from a Kernel and key file standpoint, the availability at the IBM site isn't the key here .. unless FP 16 and other critical items are also now available openly. Curiously, I'm not sure about the order of application against a fresh install and no Fix Pack previous installs! The reason I say this is that there were serious problems in the issue of the HPFS file system right there at the first. Then later around FP 12 or so, there were serious issues with the CHKDSK32 part of the system and various device drivers. I know I got into a real mess with this and the Adaptec SCSI driver for the 2940UW controller cards. I almost think that application of the Device Driver kit might better be first, but you know, that might just be the wrong thing to do here this way on a clean install. Anyone here know the answer to this concern? --> Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;) Mike @ 1:117/3001 --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Ziplog Public Port (1:117/3001) .
