I've managed to get ppp and slattach to dial up and disconnect now, here's my 
pppconn.cmd.. might wrap a bit..

ppp.exe modem exit rtscts defaultroute priority 1 idle 1 user myusername secret 
mypassword com2 57600 connect "slattach -p com2 ATZ OK atdt6388000 NNECT"
exit

The idle 1 causes a pop up to apper saying you'll be disconnected... but it 
will just disappear by itself..
